Boss's Day

I am a little late getting this on however my Boss's card went all the way over seas and back again before he received it.  Just kidding.  Not really but felt that way as it took a very long time for him to receive it.

Now I can share!

I struggle with making masculine cards.  I am not the only one.  I have heard that a lot from card making friends. On the background, I embossed it and then heat embossed with gold and copper.  Next, I dragged a black staz-on over the top lightly and scratched the top of it with sandpaper.  Looked masculine now to me!

He truly is a 5 star boss!

October CAS Christmas Challenge

The challenge for October was posted and this time they were asking for gray and red.  When I took the picture the gray looks a bit brown but it is gray.  I need to set up a place to take the photos of my cards.  Even though I have been here in my new home since end of July in my new craft room, that is one area I have not planned out yet.

I used a die to cut the flowers area out on white cardstock and glued a grey cardstock behind it.  I used the same die and cut out a red cardstock.  I carefully took each piece of the red and glued it over the gray cardstock.  My granddaughter was watching me and she said "Now I know why sometimes it takes you a long time to make a card!".  lol

The Merry Christmas and deer was cut out twice.  The white was glued down first and the red was glued over it but off set just a little bit.

Another Christmas card and challenge down.
Off to go find another challenge to do to keep going.

CAS Challenge and 9 months later...

Nope....not pregnant!  Just 9 months of missing from my blog!  LOL

I have moved out of FL back to NH after being gone for 21 years.  Now that I am settled in with a new craft room, I hope to get some cards made.  I am still missing some craft supplies but that will be here within the week.

I decided to start off by following along with the very simple Christmas challenge.

We were to have white, simple, minimal layers and plaid.  All I did was to cut the trees out and glued them down along with the words.  Easy Peasy..

Now that I have my feet wet, I need to find another challenge.
