Happy Birthday Flutter By Hop

Happy Birthday Danni!!

Hello Everyone and welcome!
To celebrate Danni's birthday today and to have fun remembering the Flutter by Wednesday Challenge that Danni use to run, a Blog Hop has been created.

We encourage you to flutter from blog to blog leaving comments for Danni and wishing her a Happy Birthday.   Danni will be offering 2 separate Gift Certificates and the two winners will be chosen from those who leave comments.  You have until Monday September 7th to leave her a comment.  On Tuesday, September 8th, she will announce the winner on her blog!

The hop list is:

Now on to my contribution to the Flutter by Blog Hop!
Our creation had to have either a Butterfly or a Fairy.  I went with a Fairy Christmas card!

I started out with sponging first with Stampin Up Soft Sky ink and then I used Stampin Up Pacific Point.  The branches came from a set of stamps from Sheena Douglass A Little Bit Scenic called Silhouette Highlands.  The Fairy is called Mini Lark from Susana's Custom Art and Card Design.  The words are a set I had for years and over time, I lost where they came from.  Crystal and Candy Cane Stickles created the sparkle on the Fairy and berries on the tree!  It was not a complicated card but to me...it is a very peaceful card!

Thank you for stopping by.
Don't forget to wish Danni a Happy Birthday!!

Fairy Happy Birthday

My Fairy Birthday card.  Lots of stamps and lots of fun!

I "cheated" on this card and did not use any masking.  After stamping all the stamps where I thought I wanted them to go, I just cut a white cardstock to go across the card and matted it with teal cardstock.

I  combined the following stamps to create this card:
Stampin Up Background Stamp "En Francais"
Stampin Up "Petal Parade" Set
Words from Fiskars "Birthday Cheer" (my FAV set)
Fairy "Sabrina" (cut out and glued on) from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design

Of course...no Fairy is perfect without the hint of Diamond Stickles sparkling in her hair and wings!!

Fairy Happy Birthday!

Mojo Monday #287

I know two people who are very sad right now and they need a pick me up really bad.  I have a stamp that says "If your feeling blue-trying painting yourself a different color".  I knew that it was perfect for them and I had to choose the most brightest wild colorful paper that I had to go along with the Mojo Monday #287 sketch to create my card.
I used faux stitching around the outside.  As you can see, I used MANY colors of stickles glitter glue for the bubbles and for the fairy.
I hope it will bring a smile to their faces!

Come back soon!!  I have more to share!!

Birthday Fairy

Due to tax season and family visiting, I have not been able to work on any papercrafting at all.  Family has now gone home and paperwork is now at the Accountants office..thank goodness!  Now...no more excuses...back to work!

Since I have not shared or have anything new...I will share an old card I made.  I made it for a girlfriend and she loved the card.

Here is a close up of the fairy.

Thanks for stopping by!

#187 Flutter By Wed-Embossing & #222 Mojo Mon

I am trying to build up my supply of cards in my stash.  Last year I had 4 shoulder surgeries and my husband & I hit my stash hard.  It actually has been fun to begin creating again!
To get my stash full again, I have decided to try many of the challenges out there.  They certainly help get the creative juices flowing again!

My first challenge was to combine Danni's Flutter By Wednesday challenge and Mojo Monday.

Every Wednesday Danni creates a challenge and the challenge always includes a Angel, Fairy or Butterfly.  This week we must use any type of embossing as long as one of the three images are on the card.
I used my Cuttlebug and dry embossed an image on the circle portion of the card.  My Fairy sits to the right of my Hello.

Mojo Monday always gives a sketch to follow.  Here is the sketch I used that Mojo Monday Blog put out for January 2nd.  You can use it upside down, rightside up or sideways.  I decided to use it exactly as the image is.

This card will go into my "Everything" Box.
Happy Crafting!!

Flutter By Wednesday

Make sure to scroll down...there are two post for today!
Every Wednesday Danni's Dreams has a challenge called Flutter By Wednesday. If you have a fairy stamp or a butterfly...you should jump on over and join in! You have to make a card using a butterfly or fairy and every week they add a little twist. This week you have to use brown and pink along with your fairy or butterfly image.
The fairy image was RAK'd to me and it is a fairy by The Greeting Farm. Her name is Fairy Chloe. I colored her with Dick Blick markers and I think she came out cute! I stamped a swirl and used my eyelet with interchangeable heads to punch out the different size holes. I matted it on brown paper so the brown showed through the holes. Ribbon was something I picked up from Micheal's long ago.
The sentiment is from the clear stamp set- Anytime Sentiments. I love this set...it has such a variety!

Image Rak

Can you see the Fairy fluttering by the roses? Her name is Mini Lark from Susana's Custom Art & Card Design and I think she is perfect for living amongst the flowers! She is colored with markers, painted with Shimmerz and popped up with dimensionals. If you click on the card to open up larger, you can see how much she shimmerz. The RAK'd Rose image was also colored with Stamping Up markers and pink stickles was layered on top. I used the Stamping Up punch to cut the green corner and glued tiny green bling to it to dress it up a bit. It was a very quick card but perfect for any occasion!

Sunset Fairy

This card was an experiment which I think turned out ok. I stamped and embossed the trees and fairy with clear embossing powder after coloring them with SU markers. Used a circle mask to make the moon while I used sponges to sponge the sunset. I used part of a stamp to make the whispy grass and sponged brown to make the ground. Supplies *All SU ink *Ribbon unknown *Cardstock unknown * Fairy Art Stamps: Natasha *Trees unknown

Christmas Stampin' All Year Long Challenge #6

Every Monday, Christmas Stampin' All Year Long puts out a new sketch challenge. This time we had to use three or more eyelets and no other embellishments except for a tag. I used holly leaf eyelets on my tag. The Fairy was colored with markers except the wings. I colored them only with Shimmerz. The mask I made for the fairy was not an easy task but I was able to protect her so I could stamp the background with ink and a sponge. I used clear embossing to stamp on the green cardstock across the middle and then I dusted it with perfect pearls. I didn't have an evergreen bough so I had to use a regular tree. Oh Well....it worked!! This card with the green ribbon was my first attempt. I turned it into a card anyway even tho I messed up! Supplies: *SU InkWild Wasabi, Garden, Green, Whisper white, Real Red *SU Lovely As a Tree *Inkadinkado Snowflakes *Hot Off The Press Christmas Art Word Stamp *Susana's Custom Art & Card Design Fairy Stamp "Sabrina"

Plain VS Fancy

A few days ago, I made a card using the image "Lost in Thought". I colored it with my prisma colored pencils. The gold has a layer of Shimmerz painted over it. (Some day I will figure out how to get that nice shimmer to show up when I take a photo!) I knew the card was very plain. I joined the group Susana's Custom Art & Card Design at Paper Craft Planet and there was a challenge due today. The challenge was to use the sketch to create a card using an image from Susana's store.
It was perfect for what I needed to put a little life to the card. I tore the card apart and redid it to match the challenge. With a few flowers and a branch or two...it really dressed it up. Typically I do not make my images angled. I tend to go for the cards that are straight and even. I liked the card I made prior, but now I love it! Plain vs Fancy? Fancy gets my vote on this one.
SUPPLIES: *Lost In Thought Stamp *Staz-on *Colored with Prisma Colored Pencils * Prima Flowers *Gold Stickles for center of flowers * Metallic, white and purple cardstock * Martha's Stewart branch punch * Shimmerz-candle light
