Kit and Clowder-Greyscale

I needed a masculine card so I looked back through Kit and Clowder classes I had and came across this Marker Greyscale class back in June 2018.  I just used pencils to color it up instead of markers.

I used the Camouflage Technique for the Happy Birthday so that way you can still see all of the image.  The finished card is an A2 card.

Out of everything I have colored, these eyes are my favorite!

16 pencils in all and 4 hours later.  Can't rush a masterpiece!  *G*

Ever do a card when after your done you say Hmmmmmm

This card did not come out like I wanted.

Embossing was the theme at 52CCT today.
I may have to go back to the drawing board and rethink what I was thinking!

Well ....anyway....I hope your crafting day is better than mine! lol

52 CCT May Theme Challenge

I actually had a lot to choose from for the theme today...Silhouettes...but I decided to print this one out on the computer.
This actually was my third attempt.  I kept smudging the ink trying to brush on the oxide inks.  Finally, decided to color with oxides first and then print.  I didn't think it would work but it did!   The black came out nice and dark with no sign of the colored ink underneath.  The tree and sentiment was stamped with Ranger Archival Ink.   The gold washi tape was actually salvaged from my pups. They got into my box of washi tap when they were younger and had fun chewing.  I was able to use part of it to edge the card.  My big sister said...a card has to have sparkle or it isn't a Christmas card!

See you over at 52CCT.  Come share your Silhouette card with us!

52 CCT May Color Challenge

52CCT's color challenge is Non-traditional colors.  Peach and gray!  Definitely not your normal colors for Christmas.
Penny Black Christmas stamp  "Berry Merry Christmas" was stamped with grey ink.   The berries were first colored with orange watercolor paint.  I spritz a lot of water onto my Tim Holtz glass mat and dripped just a couple of small drops of Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pink Champagne onto and mixed it up. It is hard to see but the berries were painted again with it to give it a lighter more peachy color.  Also used it to watercolored along the right bottom corner.  The upper corner was done with watered down black watercolor to get a grey color.  The sentiment that came with the set was stamped onto vellum.  Chalk white acrylic paint was used for the snow on the berries and snow falling.

I didn't think I would like this card but I thought about it all week.  Now that it is actually done, I do not mind at all.

Thank you for stopping by!  Now head over to 52cct to see what the rest of the Design Team created!

Kit and Clowder-Birds In Bloom

Another pencil card done!
This was the last one I needed and the last three will get mailed off today.  This card took me about 5 hours in two days to color.  I am definitely not fast!  LOL
This one was colored with Kit and Clowder May 2019 pencil class called Birds in Bloom.

The digital image is from PowerPoppy called "Perched in the Orchids".

I started off by coloring the flowers but the class is set up do start with birds, background, leaves or flowers.

These are how many colors I used just for the birds!!

If you want to try this, just click on the links above to the image or the class.

Kit and Clowder- Floral

Another pencil class down!
This one is a free class at Kit and Clowder.  She teaches you about markers and pencils.  The image comes with the class and you get a couple of images to choose from.  I decided to do the digital stamp that did not have any words so that I could add my own.

After coloring two flowers with my Prismacolor Premier pencil set, I was able to go ahead and color the rest, choosing my own colors.

Another card in my RAK pile.  I got some mailed last week and this week I will have a few more.  Each week my goal is to send at least 3 out.

Wonder ,who in the family, this one will go to?

52 CCT May Sketch Challenge

Can you believe it is May already?  1st Saturday of the month which means Sketch Challenge at 52CCT.

This stamp is from Stampendous called "Buck Scene".  I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and used pencils to color in lightly to give the snow a blueish tint.  The holes were punched out of left over sparkle paper and glued down randomly.  The holes alone the edge is a very very old Fiskars Edge trimmer.  When I dug it out, I was actually surprised it cut beautiful through the thick paper!

Now it is your turn to have a go with the sketch.  It's time to get those Christmas Cards started.  Time's clicking by!
