Birthday Flowers

Love this way of having an image come in from the top and up from the bottom!
So easy..especially with a Misti.  Just place your rubber stamp in your Misti, stamp, flip paper upside down and stamp again!
It's even best if you do not remove your rubber stamp from your Misti.  You can color, place your paper back in the Misti where it was before and re-stamp back down again.  It gives the image a nice edge or you can stamp with Versamark and emboss.

Another birthday card done..so many more to go!

52 CCT June Stash Challenge

Hi papercraft friends!  I am sharing card with you today my deer card I created featuring an Hero Arts Deer Stamp.
There is a fun challenge over at 52CCT and it is all about embellishments but there has to be a cluster of them on it.  Come join us!  We would love to see what you come up with.

Now about my card...I have practiced with this 3 step stamping before but never could get the 3 layers to line up right.  It was very disappointing to me and I stopped using the stamp.  Recently, I bought myself a strong light that also had a big nice magnifier on it.  It allowed me to see where to place each layer perfectly!  I am glad I decided to give it another try.  Next time I will use a lighter brown but all in all I am happy.

Thank you for stopping by!  I am off to go make some more cards!

Crooked Frame Birthday

I love to place embellishments a little crooked on a card.  It drives some crazy.  I think it gives it character.  For others, it makes them want to straighten it out like a picture frame.
I did have to use a t-ruler to make sure the words were straight!  I normally can get pretty straight but on this card, the crooked frame kept throwing me off.
The background on this card was created by using water, water color paper and Ken Oliver Galaxy Color Burst.  It is so much fun to sprits water on the paper and drop a couple of small drops of the color burst.  It does just what the name suggest.  It burst into a beautiful spread of color!
The Stampin Up Blended Seasons flowers were colored with pencils, cut out out and popped up.  I also used Stampendous Black Dot Sparklers.

This card was mailed for a co-workers birthday.

7 more birthday cards to go!

Kit and Clowder-Flight of Fancy Birthday

I have so many birthday cards to make for the next couple of weeks.  Staying home came at a perfect time!  My hope is to get them all done within this next week so I can get them ready to go into the mail.
This is the second card...a birthday card for my granddaughter since she loves Fairies.  I am enjoying using my prismacolor pencils and coloring with Kit and Clowder and learning a lot!  It took me 3 days of trying to color in my spare time.

This image came from Jannafairyart and these are how many colored pencils I needed to color the image!

Update 6/26/20:  I have since made this into a birthday card for my granddaughter and mailed it off to her..

I have to tell you, I am so excited!  I finally got a pencil bag after many weeks of  searching.

I bought the Arteza bag and was able to put all of my 150 Prismacolor pencils and 42 Derwent Intense set in the bag.  You can see my review of the bag here...which is very positive.  No more trying to make sure I do not drop the trays of pencils as I pick out my colors.

Now...off to my next card!

52 CCT June Theme Challenge

Who doesn't have a few snowflakes in their stash?
Dies?  Stickers?  Stamps?  Digital Stamps?
Come join us at 52CCT for this weeks challenge...Snowflakes!

I have a TON of snowflake something in my stash but I had this white background already embossed long ago just sitting there...begging to be used.  The rest was easy.  Left over purple cardstock from another challenge was used for the mat.  I stamped this Stampin Up Snowflake and colored with pencils.  I also lightly used some of the pencils to give the snowflakes a hint of color. Cut it out and glued in the center.  The sentiment strip was a digital print cut out and popped up with white foam.

The center snowflake was cut from a piece of gold sparkling cardstock to give the card some sparkle.

See you over at 52CCT and while your there, check out what the other Design Team members created for you!

Flowering Birthday Card

This card was fun to make.  I put my stamp in my misti and stamped one side...flipped it over and stamped again.  I used colored pencils to color the images.  It was a bit daunting to cut the words out after I was done coloring but I just went for it.  It is the same idea as the Camouflage Technique.

To get the letters lined perfectly, I just put glue on the back, closed the card and placed them where they were cut out and pressed down.

Best part is I didn't have to stamp inside.  Just write my personal message.  It already had a message on it from the front.

Thank you for stopping by.

52 CCT June Color Challenge

Christmas card created with a couple of non-traditional Christmas colors.
Purple, Pink and Gold Christmas card!

I used Distress Oxides...one pink and two purple to make the background.  The background stamp was stamped with gold in a Misti.  I left the stamp in the Misti and stamped again with clear embossing so I could heat emboss it.  I found over the years I did not need a ton of colors of embossing powder.   Just stamp in color and embossing with clear.  You get just about the same look and effect.
I cut two wreaths..one gold and one purple to match the mat.

So now is your turn!!  Grab that pink, purple and gold items in your stash and have a go!
See you at 52CCT!

Kit and Clowder-Scales, Bubbles and Bokeh Technique

Just popping to show my recent pencil coloring.
Pencil coloring is such a relaxing time for me.  I have been trying to do it a couple days a week in the evening.
Here is the latest that was popped into the mail yesterday..

Here is a closeup of the scales and bubbles.  I tackled the dragon and bubbles first, thinking they would be the hardest.  Turned out, it was the flower that I found difficult!

Look at all the pretty colors I used on the card!

Wish I could stay home and keep coloring but off to work I go!  Hope you all have a great crafty day!

52 CCT June Sketch Challenge

Sometimes my inspiration for a card comes from a die or an image and sometimes it comes from a sketch.  If you are in a slump and can't figure out what to do...come join us at 52CCT for this weeks sketch challenge and get your ideas flowing.

Today's card is using scrap cardstock and paper I had in my Christmas scrap pile.  No stamping today...all dies.  The red cardstock was embossed with Stamping Up Sizzix folder.  The Impression Obsession small Poinsettia's were cut from heavy vellum.  After cutting the flowers I used a Calligraphy DecoColor Opaque White Paint Marker to make dots on the flowers.   The leaves was a die from Darice Small Holly Leaf.  Merry Christmas was cut from a Tim Holtz's set called Merry Christmas.
Everything was placed based on this sketch.

Come on over and join us!
